Ahu Sahin, is an Amsterdam based contemporary visual artist. Ahu completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam.
She reflects on modern day society and believes in the strength of silence. She aims to make committed art without giving up poetic sophistication. Ahu is interested in the role of individuals within changing social environments, autonomy and conformism. Her art covers a wide range of mediums. Her installations are a combination of film and sculptural objects which have an intense colour (luminous, fluorescent) and a trace of movement.
